Terms of use

These terms are an agreement between you and tipstir labs LLC, a limited liability company organised in the United States, covering the tipstir iPhone app and the tipstir.com website. By using either one you accept them.

Your licence

We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use tipstir on Apple devices that you own or control, in line with the Apple Media Services Terms and Conditions. You may not copy, sell, rent, reverse engineer or attempt to extract the source code of the app except where that restriction is prohibited by law.

Purchases

Remove Ads is a one-time, non-consumable in-app purchase sold through the App Store. It is tied to the Apple Account used to buy it and can be restored on your other devices at no extra charge. Apple handles billing, and refunds are requested from Apple rather than from us. Prices may change for new purchasers; you will not be charged again for something you have already bought.

The calculations

tipstir is a convenience tool. We take accuracy seriously, but rounding, an unusual local tax rule or a mistyped figure can produce a number that does not match your restaurant's bill. Check the printed check before you pay. tipstir labs is not responsible for the amounts you choose to pay.

Advertising

The free version of the app displays third-party advertising. We do not control and do not endorse the products or services in those ads.

Availability

We may update, change or discontinue tipstir or any of its features. We will not remove access to a feature you have already paid for without offering a reasonable alternative.

Disclaimer and limitation of liability

The app and this website are provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including any implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. To the fullest extent permitted by law, tipstir labs LLC will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages arising from your use of the app. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the amount you paid us for the app in the twelve months before the claim. Some jurisdictions do not allow these exclusions, so parts of this section may not apply to you.

Apple

Apple is not a party to these terms and has no obligation to provide support for tipstir. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms and may enforce them against you.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Wyoming, United States, without regard to its conflict of laws rules.

Changes

We may revise these terms. The date at the top of this page shows when they last changed, and continuing to use tipstir after a change means you accept the revised terms.
